Shake It Off!

I don’t know if you ever played the game where you see a close up of an object and try to guess what it is a close up of? I love trying to figure out what it is!

Perspective is SO important in our life, and a lot of times it makes the difference in how we live our lives.

I went to the Art Museum in Chicago with my friend Heather, and she was totally geeking out on this photo of George Seurat.  When you look at this photo up close, all you see are dots, and a mess of them.

The more you pull back, the more you get perspective.

Often I get caught up in the daily craziness of life, that I forget to take a step back and get perspective on life. I think that is why so many people LOVE taking pictures outside of their airplane window (lets be honest, we have ALL done it!), because the perspective of being 10,000 feet in the air is invigorating!

But sometimes when you get up close and nose to the ground we forget how beautiful life is, and how good we really have it! Its all in the perspective and in our attitudes!

We get to choose our perspective. Sometimes its messy, and most of the time it works itself into a masterpiece that God is creating out of our lives!

Along with perspective comes attitude, and along with attitude comes dance parties… Haha, or maybe that is just me. We can stress about each and every little mess in our lives, and trust me, there is a time and place, but we need to make sure our pants don’t get into a bunch over little things that don’t need our time and attention.

Keep your eyes on the big picture, and on the One who is in control!

What has got you stressing? Is it something you can change? What if it isn’t? Remember that the best way to eat an elephant is to take one bite at a time. Keep remembering the big picture, and keep perspective, but remember to keep taking one step at a time!

Oh. And you should find time to have a dance party. And maybe Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off should be your anthem. It maaayyyy be my new favorite song right now, and it is definitely helping me dance more (because who can’t with that song!!) and life is too short not to have any fun and to not shake it off!

My little cousin Ella has learned a thing or two about Shaking it Off.. Check it out! 🙂 Ellla Shake it off
